Bible Question: Why does Psalm's 18:8 speak of smoke coming out of God's nostrils and fire from God's mouth? Sounds like the GREAT DRAGON, THE ANCIENT SERPENT, THE DEVIL, SATAN, THE DECEIVER OF THE WHOLE WORLD that is spoken of in Revelations 12:7-9. DON'T RELY ON WHAT OTHERS TELL U IS THE WORD OF GOD. THE WAY THAT THE BIBLE IS PORTRAYING THE IMAGE OF GOD IS DEMONIC. God is not an evil fire spitting dragon. This is how the DECEIVER, DECEIVES. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! READ,READ,READ, AND READ SOME MORE. Bible Answer: Greetings luvconquers.. In no way does Psalm 18:8 liken the Lord to Satan! In Psalm 18, the psalmist (David in this case) is speaking of how the Lord will devour his enemies, and he uses adjectives similar to those that are used to describe the Leviathan (Job 41:19-21) to properly convey the imagery of God's fierce majesty. In no way does this verse, or any other verse in the Bible, say that God is in any way Satan! There is no verse that likens God to Satan, and you are deceived if you think that this is so. The Bible is the Word of God and it is inspired by God. All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for direction, for correction and for training in righteousness.
