Bible Question: how is it that god is real??? when all he does it creat hate, war, and loss. i have had all bad luck bc im not a believer but how can u believe in someone who causes pain to GOOD people? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Kpizzle14... You are asking how is it God is real, then blaming Him for creating hate, war, and loss. If God is not real, then hate, war, and loss must necessarily have different causes. If God is real, then it does not follow that He is the cause of these things. If I gave you a perfectly beautiful and comfortable house to live in and you trashed it, would that make me the cause of the house being trashed? You further state that because you are not a believer you have had all bad luck. You really think that something you don't believe in can cause you bad luck? I don't believe in the Santa Clause. Santa's lack of existence makes him impotent to effect my life. You ask, how can you believe in someone who causes pain to good people. First, I believe that Hitler existed and that he caused enormous pain to all kinds of people. What he did doesn't effect whether I believe Hitler existed or not. Second, according to the scirptures there are none that are good except God Himself. What we should wonder is why good things happen to anyone! Clearly the ultimate terrors and life that could happen to you have not happened to you. I know a lot of blessings that you have just by this single post. Would you like me to share some with you? You are alive, you have some education, you have enough wealth in your life to keep you fed, you have some interest in philosophical things, you have a sense of justice, you have an imagination, etc. etc. Now, all these good things come from God. He could have killed you by now, or ruined your mind, or prevented you from learning to read and write, or made you a sociopath, or a moron, etc. Son, you know the answers to the questions you are asking. You just don't want to face those answers, because then you would have to obligated to your Creator. It is easier to babble about His existence and judge Him for things just in case He does exist. In Him, Doc |
