Bible Question:
I am looking at an alternate reading for Psalm 119:107 in the margin of my NASB Study Bible. "Keep me alive" is a suggested alternate reading for "Revive me". I compared/contrasted "keep me alive" with Psalm 33:18,19, "Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope for His lovingkindness, To deliver their soul from death, And to KEEP THEM ALIVE in famine." In reflecting and meditating on this I want to be kept alive spiritually and in the word. Psalm 33:20 reads, "Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield." Psalm 119:114 reads, "Thou art my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Thy word." Again, I want to be kept alive, revived, sustained by the word of God just as you do, for our souls wait for the Lord. Psalm 119:116, "Sustain me according to Thy word, that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope." Can I hear any comments about this comparison? I also compared in my meditaing Psalm 34:10-14 and Psalm 119:130,131. Any comments on that comparison? From the heart, Ray |
