Bible Question:
Were in the Bible does it say we should Bless the name of Jesus? I know we bless the Nme of God in the Psalms, but we sing a song in church that says to bless the name of Jesus. Is this in the Bible? Thanks, Karis |
Bible Answer: Hello karis05, You are correct that we are told- as in Psalm 113:2, "Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forever." (NASB) There is no verse with the exact words, "bless the name of Jesus". In the NT, Luke 1:68 says, "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people," Rom. 1:25 states, "...the Creator, who is blessed forever..." I hope this helps, BradK |
