Bible Question:
explain psalm 100 verse 1-3 what is worship |
Bible Answer: Greetings Sept1963. According to a previous post by Searcher56, "Worship, by what the Greek and Hebrew says, it bowing low before the Almighty in reverence." As I consider this passage, it humbles me as I see the awesome magesty of the Lord. I worship Him because of WHO HE IS! Yes, we respond to God because of what He does, but as we come to know Him more, I believe our worship assumes a more reverent spirit of loving adoration than distant honor. I once had the arrogance to ask "Why worship?" and a very wise woman told me that I would have to discover the answer. I know WHO; I know WHY; and I am still discovering HOW! I believe that Lord esteems our feeble desires to ascribe the glory due His name!(Ps 29:2) Blessings, mommapbs |
