Bible Note: Dear P and B, That particular post is over 4 years old... so I don't think you will hear from WilBo... their last post was some 3 years ago. Wouldn't the psalmist have meant that the converse of not walking in the counsel of the wicked, would be to walk in the counsel of the righteous? Indeed, the second verse of this psalm asserts that the righteous "delight is in the law of the LORD." In other words, that is the counsel they prize most highly, and -- by implication -- that in which they walk. Righteousness only comes through Christ (Romans 5:19; Romans 8:14; 1 John 2:29). We are not saved by doing righteousness (Titus 3:5), but all those who are saved walk in righteousness (1 John 3:7). I believe that would be the proper Christocentric exegesis of these verses.
