Bible Question: I understand why God gives us freewill, but why doesn't he intervene (perform miracles) in crisis situations, especially when innocent victims suffer? |
Bible Answer: pgs, There are many reasons people give. I know our Lord suffered. I like to look at Job. He had it together with the Lord and the world. Read the first two chapters of Job. Then, he suffered greatly. When he lost everything, except his wife, he worshipped God and did not blame Him (1:20-22). Then in Job 42:5, Job sees that God was working with him, in his growth. Verse 6 continues "Therefore I retract, And I repent in dust and ashes." We need to ask God what are you teaching me as we humble ourselves with our faces and knees on the ground, like Job. We may not understand the why to our liking, now, or later. I'd hope He'd explain it when we all get to heaven. I hope this helps. Searcher PS There are many web sites that give answers, too. |
