Bible Question: Does the Lord give a date or time in answer to prayer? I know that if God wanted to he would, but I didn't know if anyone knew of a time that God gave a time or date as an answer to prayer. Any thoughts?

Bible Answer: (Hebrews 10:36) For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Answers to Prayers may come "Only at the discretion of God." Perhaps this will give you an indication of God's response? Please note a 'clear conscience' is the prerequisite in these verses, as well as in Psalms "66:18"

(James 5:16-17-18) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.(Jam 5:17) Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.(Jam 5:18) And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

(Isaian 55:8-9) For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. (Isa 55:9) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Prayer is our communication back to God, to bring our will in line with the Kingdom of God and His Word. You may pray God's Word back to Him! He said it, it is Truth, then pray it back to Him, as in Acts 17:30! [sample only] FATHER GOD, I ask that You would give [insert a name here] Repentance as You said in Your Word, in Jesus Name, Amen!
