AMPLIFIED 2015 | Job 1:7 The LORD said to Satan, "From where have you come?" Then Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming around on the earth and from walking around on it." |
Bible Question (short): Job 1:7 "in" verses "on" |
Question (full): In the Darby, Bishops, KJV the verse Job 1:7 reads thus: Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. You will notice that Satan replied: going to and fro "in" the earth, and from walking up and down "in" it. I wonder if there is significance in the use of "in" instead of "on".
