Bible Question:
Rev. 20:5-6 Verse 5 and 6 both talk about the thousand year reign and 5 says...reign not with Christ a thousand years and 6 say reign with Christ a thousand years? Can you explain... |
Bible Answer: There are two groups of people in God's plan: one is called Firstfruits James 1:18, Rev. 4:4. The other group are 'the rest of the dead' Rev 20:5 They are the great harvest. The Firstfruits are a small group, also called The Elect. Matt 24:31; Col. 3:12 and many other places. Rom 11:7 says, "What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded." In Mark 4:11-12 Christ tells His disciples that He speaks ONLY in parables to the people so they will NOT see and will NOT understand LEST they turn and their sins be forgiven them. Read it for yourself. You'll also find it in Matthew 13:10-16 and Luke 8:10 Why? Because there are two groups and only a very few are being called now. The rest will have their chance after the 1000 years. God is fair and "not willing that ANY should perish" 2 Peter 3:9 |
