Bible Question: does anyone have explanation to revelation 13:1-3 |
Bible Answer: Revelation 13:1-3, verse 1: the dragon is Satan and he was standing amongst the multitude of people (sea shore), the beast is the Anti-Christ the person and he was coming up out of the nations (sea) and he has authority over seven nations and ten kingdoms and he has blasephemous names written on his authority. Verse 2: the Anti-Christ was full of the power of the nations and Satan gave him his power and his seat of authority in the world. Verse 3: The Anti-Christ or one of the heads of a part of his kingdom (theologians are in disagreement as to which)is literaly slain and then literaly is raised from the dead in a mockery of the rising of Jesus from the dead. And because of this evil miracle by the power of Satan, rising from the dead of Anti-Christ or his head of state will cause the whole earth to be amazed and they will follow him (verse 4 then says they will worship him, which is why most theologians say it will be the Anti-Christ who will rise from the dead and not a memeber of his courts). |
