Bible Question: Why did Satan want Moses bones? |
Bible Answer: The scripture states that the dispute was over the "body" of Moses. Consider a couple of things in order to try and make this text harmonize with other scripture. Moses said that there would be a prophet in the future "like unto me" himself. Also we know that the church is the "body of Christ". It seems that the dispute over the 'body of Moses' would more likely be over the nation of Israel as a whole. Which eventually Satan obtained control over. Because in Corinthians Paul states that the 'princes of this world (devils) crucified the Lord of Glory.' They did this through the people of Israel. Peter preached 'this same Jesus whom YOU have crucifed, God hath made him both Lord and Christ.' This seems to make much more sense and harmonize better than any other explanation about Moses' physical body. |
