Subject: Can a person ever loose his salvation? |
Bible Note: Johnny, Heb.10:26 is speaking of apostasy, of turning away from the truth deliberately after having received knowledge of it. This is NOT tantamount to "losing" one's salvation. There is no such term in the Bible as 'losing one's salvation.' Neither is there a single example in all the Bible of anyone being saved twice, and by that I mean one who was saved, 'lost' it, repented, and was saved again. That is not sound doctrine. If you would like to read an excellent sermon on the eternal security of the believer, Charles Spurgeon has one waiting for you! Go to www.spurgeon.org/index/r_heb.htm. When you get there, look for Heb. 6:4-6 or the sermon title "Final Perseverance." It's well worth your time to read this sermon by one of the best in the business! --Hank |
