Bible Question: when was the first time paul visit colosse |
Bible Answer: Paul actually never visited Colossae. The only ties he has to it was that he wrote a letter to the church there. The man who did visit the church and did much of the teaching was named Epaphras. Paul talks about him in the letter. Colossians 1:7-8 You learned this from Epaphras, our much loved fellow slave. He is a faithful minister of the Messiah on your behalf, 8 and he has told us about your love in the Spirit. Epaphras had a great love for the church at Colossae. Colossians 3:12-13 Epaphras, who is one of you, a slave of Christ Jesus, greets you. He is always contending for you in his prayers, so that you can stand mature and fully assured in everything God wills. For I testify about him that he works hard for you, for those in Laodicea, and for those in Hierapolis. I hope this helps. |
