Subject: Paul, "Attain to the resurrection"? |
Bible Note: Paul may very well have been suggesting the idea "If only my life here can accurately reflect the resurrection to come" - to attain - to strive to live now as if the resurrection has been complete in our lives. To unleash the resurrection power NOW and not wait until the work is completed . . . see the first chapter - - 'He who becan a work in you WILL complete it" he never doubts the completion - but often talks about the striving to be like Christ.... he mentions in another place the desire to run in such a way as to not be disqulified from the race.... I do not beleive he means in eternity - but perhaps like so many today, to be discredited and thus "disqualified" in the eyes of others to minister because of personal sin. just my rambling thoughts |
