Bible Question: What about if you are visualizing your wife that you have recently divorced due to her cheating on you and you are still actively trying to work things out with? We are putting God first this time and have been "hanging out" for a little over a month and have not even kissed yet.. |
Bible Answer: Steve, I will pray for you and your wife, that the Lord will reconcile you both back together again in marriage. Divorce is displeasing to God (Malachi 2:13-16). Jesus spoke about divorce (Matthew 19:3-9; Mark 10:11-12), and so did Paul (Romans 7:1-3; 1 Corinthians 7:10-11). I also believe that divorce is very hurtful for any children that are involved (1 Corinthians 7:14), and I cannot find any Scripture verses that mention divorce in a "positive" light. I believe that it is God's will for his children not to divorce or to annul a marriage relationship. I believe that masturbation is a sin, but what you really need right now (and need to be focusing on) is some good, Christian counselling from a loving pastor and nurturing church family that will emotionally help and guide you and your wife back to a healthy marriage again. Blessings to you, Makarios |
