Subject: Would his heart not be humbled? |
Bible Note: Val, Your response does not answer the question. It appears as if you are making a statement instead. Let me try again and see if this will help. My new question to you is, do you think James is speaking to men called of God to teach his word in James 3:1? My thoughts on this is no! The reason I say no is considering the fact it is God who calls and God who gifts, certainly James would not be encouraging those called of God and gifted to teach to go against the will of God (i.e. think twice about using your gift to teach because you "will incur a stricter judgment."). So, when James says "Let not many of you become teachers" and follows this with a warning of the "stricter judgment" for teachers it does not stand to reason he would be speaking to those called by God and gifted to teach.
