Bible Question (short): What does it say about Chrisitan Adultre |
Question (full): My brother-in-law passed away this January 2006. His wife is a Christian as he was also. My husband and I were not very close to her, however he was very close to his brother. She has become very clingy to my husband since his death. Calling only him on his cell phone, secretly meeting him to give him things of his brothers, now she has her children calling him as well. This has become an issue between my husband and I, as I have never dealt with such a thing. It became an issue because she has never in the 12 years we have known her barely even spoke to my husband, but he looks acts and talks like his brother, so I think she is hanging on to something that isn't real. I have spoken to her and let her know that her behavior was getting a little bit uncomfortable, she said she was going to keep calling him until he told her to stop. I guess my question is, is there anything in the bible that says after a death of a spouse you should not, especially as a Christian, come between someone elses marriage or break it up for the sole purpose of your own consolation? |
