Bible Question: SINCE ISREAL HAS REJECTED THE MESSIAH AND HAS BEEN CONTINUALLY DISOBEDIENT TO GOD, DOES THEIR WILLFUL REJECTION OF THE SAVIOR NULIFY THEIR RIGHTS TO THE LAND OF CANNAN ( ISREAL) ? |
Bible Answer: God promised Abraham that His dicendents would inherit the land of Cannan "if" Abraham left his homeland which he did. In Gen. 12:1,2,7 I can't remember where it is found maybe someone can help me out (I'm in a hurry) but when Abram asked god to prove this covenant God told Abram to get these animals and cut them in to. A sleep fell upon Abram, and Abram fell asleep and He saw the LORD walk between the animals. Note: People did this to make a covenant but both people would walk through Abram did not. The reason for this covenant is if the covenant was broken the person would be cut to pieces like the animals were. So God made this covenant alone! It is one of the strongest covenants in the Bible. Israel is and always will be the apple of God's eyes even though He will and has chastened them. In Revelation it mentions Jesus will chasten those He loves. |
