Subject: 2 Cor. 1:20 |
Bible Note: Hi, this is getting interesting. In 2Cor 1:20 it says ALL PROMISES. I can see where you get "he pleases", from Is 55:11-so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall acomplish that which I PLEASE, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. But what about Heb 11:6-But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. and Col 3:24-Knowing that the Lord of ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. and Matt 7:11 If ye, then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? In Eph 1:5-Having predestinated us into the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good PLEASURE of his will. Gal 3:7-know ye therefore that they which are of the faith, the same are the children of Abraham. If you continue reading in v14-That the blessings of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith. We are intitled to the inheirtance of Abraham. Yes we will and do suffer at times but was Paul poor? was Jesus Poor? Lets look at the 23rd Psalm I'm sure you know that one. It says in the presence of my enemies, are there any enemies in Heaven? Remember that you are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body. Tracy |
