Bible Note: Doc, I'll scout around for a Reader's Digest copy of "The Book of Hours." Used Reader's Digests usually sell for a dime, which is more in line with my budget. ..... Book prices must have been exorbitant back in the Middle Ages. I'd imagine that a subscription to Reader's Digest back then must have run at least ten thousand dollars a year, and no telling what King Arthur had to pay for a copy of the New International Version bound in calfskin. He probably had to work knights in order to pay for it. :-) --Hank |
