Bible Question: John 6:51. Jesus says "This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world". jesus sacrificed his flesh by being crucified. But since He took back his body in the resurrection , isnt he forfeiting his sacrifice? Jehovah's witnesses say that jesus was raised a spirit creature, and that taking his life back would mean that it wasnt really a sacrifice? |
Bible Answer: Beethoven, since Emmaus has given you a fine answer to your question, I won't retrace his steps. The purpose of this post is to make an observation which, if you agree to it and opt to adopt it, may save you a great deal of time and trouble. It is a helpful practice when reading any doctrinal statement that beams out from the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society to have pen in hand and in the margin jot down the initials FD. It is even a better idea to incinerate their publications and never read them, devoting your time instead to reading something better. Almost anything meets the criterion of "something better" than Watchtower publications, even a comic book. And, by the way, the initials "FD" stand for "False Doctrine." --Hank |
