Bible Question: Most are familiar with the golden rule. Treat others as we want to be treated. My question is just how do we want to be treated? |
Bible Answer: Dear Bazos, I Cor 13:4-8...Charity in the Greek language is Love... We want to be treated with patience, kindness, mercy, with equality, purity, without selfishness, without anger, with others always thinking the best of us, without our faults being constantly displayed, but with our good points being displayed, that others would help us in time of need and remove burdens, use their faith for our benefit in times of need, joyfully anticipate all things good for us, and stick with us when we fail God, ourselves and others, because this kind of Love always succeeds. Doesn't that sound like a little "heaven on earth" to you? Isn't that what we all want? Always in Christ, C.S.M. |
