Bible Question: Where in the bible (if its there) does it state or describe that when Christ was being crucified he could have commanded the destruction of things yet instead gave up the ghost for our salvation. Just curious. Have heard it told in the past, haven't heard it told lately. Any and all help is already appreciated. |
Bible Answer: When Jesus was betrayed by Judas in the garden of Gethsemane BEFORE His crucifiction He made a statement that He could call on "more than twelve legion of angels" to save Him. Read Matthew 26:53. So if He could do so then why not at any other time. But of course we know that Scripture must be fulfilled as you will read in verse 54. Hope that answers your question.
