Bible Question: My question was not to understand about whether a minister is to have one wife but clarification why God allowed King David so many wives. Particularly with regards to the Morman referance. They use this verse to justify polygamy. Any help? |
Bible Answer: Jacque, greetings. It matters not that the Mormons cite the fact that David had many wives, even that God allowed it ... it doesn't justify polygamy. Genesis 3:24 says one man and one woman, and is restated in the NT (Matt 19:4-6). God allows us to do many things, which aren't good for us. We are not robots. Searcher |
