Bible Question: I thought that the name Baal was associated with idols or demons. How can this mean Lord of breaking through, which would be associated with God? |
Bible Answer: Baal means lord or husband. It was also the name for Cannanite idol or god. Jesus played on this meaning when he spoke to the Samritan woman at the well.
