Bible Question: why did uzza die? |
Bible Answer: Dear dennisn13, Welcome to the forum! Of all the attributes of God, the only one expressed three times for emphasis, is His holiness (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8-9). The Lord prescribes very specifically how He is to be approached (Leviticus 10:3). There are not many paths to God, there is only one (Matthew 7:13-14). Nothing is a substitute: not sincerity, good intentions, or ignorance (Matthew 22:11-14). It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:31). So consider these questions, and see if you can find the answers in Scripture: What was the proper way to move the ark? Who were the only people permitted to move the ark? Who were the only ones who could ready it for transport? Why were they not involved in David's plan? When David created this plan, did He consult God or the Levites? In Him, Doc |
