Bible Question: who are modern day jebusites |
Bible Answer: Hi, Treeclimber... Welcome to the forum! The Jebusites were a Cannite people who lived in and around Jerusalem (Joshua 15:63). David defeated them (2 Samuel 5). Solomon used them as forced laborers (2 Chronicles 8) -- probably a pretty good thing, for them, given the alternative. The last we hear them mentioned is by Ezra. If any of their lineage survive to this day, they would probably be have intermarried among those we now call Palestinians. In Him, Doc |
