Bible Question: Is there a drawing of the Temple whose measurements are recorded in Ezekiel? |
Bible Answer: Greetings jlmbasmnc! 1) The Nelson Study Bible contains an excellent map that describes the Temple in Ezekiel 40-44 on page 1400. This map is filled with details and includes a side map that describes the Gateway, complete with Scripture references. 2) The Zondervan NASB (or NIV) Study Bible has a nice "sideview" of the Temple in Ezekiel 40, and even goes into the measurements of the Temple into cubits. This map also has Scripture references. 3) The MacArthur Study Bible contains two excellent maps that help to describe the dimensions of the Temple, that is spoken of in Ezekiel 40-44, and the Holy District, that is described in Ezekiel 44-46,48. These two maps are found on pages 1209 (the Temple) and 1218 (The Holy District). The map itself places the names of the specific areas in the actual diagram of the Temple. 4) The Ryrie Expanded Edition Study Bible contains a very interesting "floorplan" of the Temple on page 1327. This is most like a "blueprint" with arrows pointing to a region with a description on the side. If you have access to any one of these Study Bibles, then you are in for a treat! However, I have 'ranked' them (1-4) from the map with the most details (1) to the one with the least (4). Blessings to you, Nolan |
