Bible Question: How could Jeremiah say "Great is Your faithfulness" in Lamentations 3:23 in spite of Israel's affliction throughout this book? |
Bible Answer: Nolan- I think because Jeremiah could see the long picture. He could see how every time Israel turned to God, He was faithful but they kept turning away. The one part of the Bible that really touches my heart is Matt.23:37 where Jesus is lamenting over Jerusalem -"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing." But He was always faithful then, and He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, Glory to His Name. Debbie |
