Subject: THE MEANING 0F JEREMIAH 33:3 |
Bible Note: Hi TIO, Tim is correct here as far as he goes. He is probably cautioning you not to take it out of context and apply it to yourself too much. But I will not do that for although the word came to Jeremiah it is the word of God to us as well. Tim mentioned Israel and Judah as they are mentioned in verse four. But we can also skip to verse 14, "Behold, days are coming,' declares the Lord, "when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous (Branch) of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth." This Branch is none other than Jesus Himself. So you see, this word is for us also. Jeremiah 33:3 talks of mighty things, verse 6 talks of revealing an abundance of peace and truth, and the Branch in John 4:25 is expected to "declare all things to us." John 4:25, "The woman said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us." So, whether you want to hear mighty things or all things, call on Him and He will hear you and give you all that you need. God will give you life in His word, and that more abundantly. |
