Bible Question: Conducting a research project: Why do we say that Jesus was born on December 25th. Is this not paganism to celebrate a holy day? Horus was born on December 25th thousands of years prior to Mother Isis... |
Bible Answer: Constantine in 321 changed a lot of things when he blended the sungods religion with Christianity.Reading the Bible where it says Mary and Joseph were going to pay their taxes when Jesus was born would indicate the autumn,as it would have been after harvest time ,and winters wewe to cold to expect sheperds to be watching their flocks by night ,and gazing at the stars . If you google "constantine nicea" or sungod ,you will probably find a great deal on this subject ..The same goes for easter ( eshtar)Constantine blended that with passover. Before Jesus was born they had the Lady day, around dec 25th,with a lady holding a baby ,both having halos, which represented the sun. The days were getting longer by then and the baby represented the new year..Thats where they came into our religion. |
