Subject: The wisest man that became a fool? |
Bible Note: Hi Nolan Keck, This is just a little note to question your capitalization of the word Source. I think that Solomon was pleasing in the sight of the Lord as you have stated very well. Because he asked for a hearing and an understanding heart rather than looking for a "Source" for riches God was pleased. He is the source of eternal salvation, and that is what is most important. Hebrews 5:9. When we try to please God just to acquire things then we can know that we have become dull of hearing and aren't following God. Which reminds me of another capitalization point for the original question of Seanster here. Solomon did not follow after other Gods for there is only one God. 1 Kings 11:5 as referenced speaks of his following after the goddess of the Sidonians and after the idol of the Ammonites. He followed after other gods. Sorry if I appear nit-picky. (Its because I am.) Later, Ray |
