AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Kings 7:2 Then the royal officer on whose arm the king leaned answered the man of God and said, "If the LORD should make windows in heaven [for the rain], could this thing take place?" Elisha said, "Behold, you will see it with your own eyes, but [because you doubt] you will not eat of it." |
Bible Question: In 11Kings 7 chapter Who said these words and why did they say them?Behole if the Lord would make windows in heaven might this thing be. |
Bible Answer: Greetings Mes! Elisha the prophet was speaking to the King in 2 Kings 7:1 and told the king that by this time tomorrow there would be plenty of food (loose paraphrase). In verse 2, the royal office, who was standing next to the king said in response: "Behold, if the Lord should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?" Basically, he was asking how such a thing was possible. I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
