Bible Question: I have been divorced for many years but I have 2 daughters with my ex wife. For a period of about 5 years I didn't have a job, and I got involved in drugs, and didn't see too much of my kids which I feel very ashamed of. I have been clean for 4 years now and trying to have a relationship with my youngest daughter, but her Mother and Step Father say that I have no right to call myself my kid's Dad. They say I am only a sperm donor. Are there bible verses that can help me through this situation. I would like to know what the bible says about my right as a father if I have made mistakes in the past.

Manasseh did evil most of his life ... and changed. Study the passages I cited.

We still see him being called a father (2 Kin 21:20).

I adopted our eldest. I am her father ... as well as her biological father.

Seek wise Christian counsel (face-to-face) on how to have a positive relationship with your children.
