Subject: Does God ever change his mind? |
Bible Note: Oh sorry, does repent mean: to change? I don't know, it just doesnt look right to me. Now let's see... Mal 3:6 For I [am] the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Exd 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. Now, if repent means to change, is this not contradictory? But, really there is so much in the scriptures that is contradictory, for instance, christians like to say dont judge, yet what does the Bible do but judge. Everything in it judges not only the sinner, but the Christian as well. How can you not judge people when you're always being judged? Now, I thought I had made the contradiction thing plain in the first place, if you dont see those two scriptures as contradictory (Mal 3:6 and Exd.32:14) well, maybe its just me. As for the bible being the Word of God, I'd have to say that there probably is no God and the Bible is a crock. But thats just my opinion. And Hank if the Bible were not so confusing and contradictory, Christians would not be so confused and you wouldnt need this FORUM. note: I think I used a different scrip in my last note, the one you questioned, but still, it is God repenting again. |
