Bible Question: Any link between the widow of Zarepath and Jonah |
Bible Answer: Dear Maydayjohn, There are some Rabbinical commentaries that assert the Jewish tradition that Zarepath was the mother of Jonah, and that Jonah was the son whose life was restored through the prophet Elijah (1 Kings 17:8-24). However, there is nothing stated explictly in Scripture to support that relationship. This is another one of those things that I suggest people take with a large grain of kosher salt. In Him, Doc |
