Bible Question: I read Job and I kind of understood it. However I need more explanation on it because the last part when God appeared before Job made me confuse. Isn't Job the one who questions the power of God but why did God punish the three men who justifies agains Job? Please Answer my question. |
Bible Answer: Confused-catholic Read Job again you missed the story. Job is great guy and everything is fine then one day his world is turned upside down. Job is left wondering what happened but remains trusting in God. Job does not know of the conversation between God and Satan. Job’s three friends who come to “cheer him up” accuse Job of bringing this trouble upon himself. In other words they were blaming Job for his problems and Jobs problems were not of his making. His friend take turns using man’s logic to show Job that He has to be in sin thus the catastrophes in his life. Job keeps pleading his innocence. As Job’s friends begin to wear him down Job begins to question God’s fairness, however he is still looking for his redeemer. Then God stepped in and declared His sovereignty. At this point Job repents for questioning God and God then chastens Jobs three friends for blaming Jobs problems on Job, in effect adding to his misery rather than helping him. Everythign Job lost is restored to him man times over. EdB |
