Bible Question: why Solomon's brother say he is the king, but he know actualy is not him, why he do all this to let people know he is the king? |
Bible Answer: Lialia, Ray is correct, Adonijah was the older brother. He was the fourth son of David (2Sa 3:4). His older brothers were dead. Ammon (2Sa 13:28-29) and Absalom (2Sa 18:14-15). Kileah may have been killed at the same time as Ammon (2Sa 13:30). Usually the eldest was next in line to the throne. Adonijah may of known that Solomon was chosen, since he did not invite him, but his other brothers (1Ki 1:10). Steve |
