Subject: Uzzah and Saul's similarities? |
Bible Note: In I Sam. 15, God gives a very clear instruction to Saul, to attack the Amalekites and destoy everything. Saul, in his natural human state, did what he felt was good, he spared the best of what the Amalekites had. At that point God rejected him as king. Uzzah, in II Sam 6, reached out to prevent the Ark of the covenant from falling because it looked like it was going to fall. Despite his good intent, God struck him becauae he gave a specifc orders about handling the ark. I hear so often the phrase 'God knows my heart', i just want revelation on when is it a matter of life and death? How much of the 'heart' really matters when God gives instructions? I guess its just more of a reason to praise Jesus and his work on earth for us. I probably would have done the same thing as Saul and Uzzah did with good intent. And i wonder, how much of my work now is out of good intent yet out of God's order. Thank you Lord for mercy and grace!!!! |
