Subject: considering the situation |
Bible Note: I guess what I was trying to say is this. You asked what the Bible says about such a woman. It says she is a sinner. She has sinned by firstly, having relations with a man outside of marriage, secondly by having relations with both a man and his father. This is not to say she can not be forgiven- the Bible says that there is one sin only that is unforgivable-blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.(Matt. 12:31) Still, it is a serious situation. Leviticus makes this clear when it tells us that the penalty for adultery is death. (See Leviticus 20) Considering the woman is married to the father, though, and never has been to the son, I don't know what could be done to rectify the situation, other than repent wholeheartedly and ask for forgiveness both of God, and of her husband. God is gracious to forgive when we confess our sins(1John 1:9) |
