Bible Answer: Scripture ... Exodus 21:2, 7-11 ... dwife, greetings ... The context of this passage is when a man has a woman as a servant and thinks she should be his son's wife. Then she is no longer a servanr, but a daughter. If the son marries another, woman still has rights - food, clothing and marital rights. If the owner deos provide, then she goes free and it will cost his father anything ... no waiting until the seventh year (vs 2). Hope this helps, Searcher |
