Bible Question: god said let there be light on the first day..and later on went to create the sun and the moon on the 3rd day.so what was light on the first day? |
Bible Answer: Actually, the sun and moon were created on the 4th day according to Genesis 1:16-19. I have never had anyone give me a plausible answer to this question. Light existing before the source of the light doesn't seem to make any sense to me. This light is not sunlight. Looking at this light as God's Spirit doesn't work either. The Darkness would have to be an absence of God's Spirit. Is absence of God's spirit even possible? Our present day of 24 hours is because the earth turns in relation to the sun every 24 hours. This brings into question how long the six days of creation were. The bigger question is was this written from a human perspective and not a Creator perspective? One which believed that the earth was flat and that the sun and moon revolved around the earth. One that believed that the earth was the center of the universe. |
