Bible Question: I would like to know which of all the patriarchs lised in the genealogies of Genesis 5, 10, and 11 are first-born sons. How is this determined? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Jim... You'd have to simply work through the genealogies. There in Genesis. Interesting, though, that Abraham wasn't the firstborn of Terah, Haran was. Isaac wasn't the firstborn of Abraham, Ishmael was. Jacob wasn't the firstborn of Isaac, Esau was. Judah wasn't the firstborn of Jacob, Reuben was. Etc. etc. :-) In Him, Doc |
