Subject: Question about Genesis 6:6 |
Bible Note: Friends, I wholeheartedly agree with your answer, Curt. I would also like to point out that the Apostle Peter, inspired by the Holy Spirit, made the following observation: "But these [people]! Like unreasoning beasts, mere creatures of instinct, born [only] to be captured and destroyed, railing at things of which they are ignorant, they shall utterly perish in their [own] corruption [in their destroying they shall surely be destroyed]..." [2 Peter 2:12 Amplified] Apparently, some things were made by God just to be destroyed. Just think of the how many thousands of animals and plants were destroyed today just to sustain life on this planet! A caveat: this does not justify the abuse of animals. Anybody that would deliberately mistreat an animal is sick (scriptural term:fool). "A [consistently] righteous man regards the life of his beast, but even the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. [Deut. 25:4.]" [Proverbs 12:10 Amplified] The animal rights activists, however, are definitely promoting humanist propaganda. This is just another "old lie" of the "new age" movement.
