Bible Question:
Is Cain Exempted in Hell and excluded in Heaven? Ge 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. during that time (as far as know) there is no 10 commandments yet) and the teaching of eternal life and eternal damnation was not mentioned to them... |
Bible Answer: Hi, jlpangilinan... The word of God is a progressive revelation. At each point in history what people had of God's word was "sufficient, certain, and infallible rule of all saving knowledge, faith, and obedience." Interesting you say of this of Cain, and yet look how often God speaks to him, more than enough for Cain to have turned from his sin. We have no evidence of Cain's repentance. And what do you mean that they did not yet have "the teaching of eternal life and eternal damnation?" Wasn't that already asserted for Adam by God in Genesis 2:16-17? Furthermore, there is the protoevangelium of Genesis 3:15 immediately following the Fall. In Him, Doc |
