Bible Question:
2 Samuel 15-17 Reading the excellent counselor who joined Absalom was Ahithophtl the reason was that (I believe) he was still bitter what David had done to Bathshela and he was cousin of Saul. So the biiterness was there. I believe that David prayed about him ,that he was so foolish for leaving and turning on him. He knew that Ahithphel was a good adviser. My question is how did God answer his pray? Thank You God Bless |
Bible Answer: Oneness holy Ahithophel was the grandfather of Bathsheba 2 Sam 23:34 and 2 Sam 11:3. He wanted to shame David as David shamed his family so he told Absalom to embarrass David by taking David's concubines in sight of Israel. 2 Sam 16:21. God made Hushai's counsel be more appealing to Absalom then the counsel that Ahithophel had given. This lead to Absalom's ultimate failure and his death. EdB |
