AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 8:13 ¶ Now in the six hundred and first year [of Noah's life], on the first day of the first month, the waters were drying up from the earth. Then Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and the surface of the ground was drying. |
Bible Question:
GENESIS 8:13- WHAT DOES IT MEAN, NOAH REMOVED THE COVERING OF THE ARK AND LOOKED, AND INDEED THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND WAS DRY. QUESTION: WHAT IS THE COVERING |
Bible Answer: Greetings SUPERLOTTO! "Gen 8:13 - Noah removed the covering of the ark - Not the whole covering, but so much as would suffice to give him a prospect of the earth about it: and behold the face of the ground was dry." [John Wesley's Explanatory Notes] Did Noah fashion the Ark with all the latest amenities including a convertible top? :-) No, I wouldn't think so. I believe that this is just an opening that he used that gave him a complete prospect of the earth to observe if the water was receding.. Blessings to you, Nolan |
