Bible Note: Dear Grace, You are welcome. You may call me Azure which is my name :-). As far as I understand the verse, that is only the last will of Joseph's before he died. Of course, I also believe God makes use of it as a reminder to the Israelite of their origin (the Chosen nation) not to be satisfied with their lives in Egypt as it was not their destination. I am sorry that I do not agree with your preacher's interpretation and application on the verse and I don't find any scriptural support on his notion. Shalom Azure |
