AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 48:16 The Angel [that is, the LORD Himself] who has redeemed me [continually] from all evil, Bless the boys; And may my name live on in them [may they be worthy of having their names linked with mine], And the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And may they grow into a [great] multitude in the midst of the earth." |
Bible Question:
do angels have freewill? if so, are any of the angels capable of committing the same sin that lucifer made or any other kind of sin? If angels don't have freewill. Was Lucifer made for the pupose of being satan? which would be another choice other than God for man to choose |
Bible Answer: Could more angels sin? 'Is it possible that more of the angels could sin?' '1 Timothy 5:21 tells us, “I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.” 'No matter what view you take on election, the Bible is clear that God was somehow involved in choosing who would be saved. The same appears to be true for the angels. God’s holy angels are elect – meaning God has chosen them. 'It seems that God gave all of the angels a one-time choice to obey Him or not. Those that sinned and followed Lucifer are lost and condemned. Those that chose to remain loyal to God are secure in that decision. The Bible gives us no reason to believe that it is possible that more of the angels could sin.'
